Young Women’s counselor, Sunday school teacher, ward newsletter editor
I’m a 42 year old (gulp!) mom, and have five children ages 5-23. I was born into the LDS church, part of a multi-generational family and grew up very active in the LDS church. (Stake dances and girl’s camp were my favorite activity!) I became inactive for a time as an adult, but came back and then was active for 3 ½ years before coming to see that Biblical doctrine and LDS doctrine just didn’t agree.
Elder, Sunday School Superintendant, Stake Missionary
When I was 32 months of age my family was involved in a horrendous auto accident. My mother was killed. My father, my brother and I survived this accident. This happened on my younger brother’s first birthday. It was very difficult for my father as he was then left with two little boys to take care of alone. He moved in with his parents and leaned on them for emotional support for the next few years.
My name is Dave McCament and I am a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I once held both priesthoods of the church, served in the mission field, met and married a LDS convert for “time and all eternity” in the Los Angeles Temple, and was very content as a member.
I am fifty years old, male, married (5 children), and a missionary—on my way (with my wife and children) to serve full time with New Tribes Mission in northern Mexico (Chihuahua). My wife and I are 5th generation Mormons who left in the Church 1990’s. I came to faith in Jesus Christ in the fall of 1996. I grew up in Salt Lake City, in a very active LDS family.
Seminary Instructor, Elders Quorum President, Bishop’s Counselor
I was raised in the LDS church, baptized at 8, and served a mission in Venezuela from 1988 – 1990. I've been married to my wife since 1992 and we have 4 children. After returning from my mission I held several callings within the church such as seminary teacher, Elders Quorum President, Bishops Counselor, and at the time that I left the church I was serving as the Bishop of our ward.
I was born into Mormonism and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and surrounding area for the first 30 years of my life. Both my husband and I of 54 years of marriage come from a long lineage of Mormons, and growing up, their teachings were all that we both knew about God.
