I am fifty years old, male, married (5 children), and a missionary—on my way (with my wife and children) to serve full time with New Tribes Mission in northern Mexico (Chihuahua). My wife and I are 5th generation Mormons who left in the Church 1990’s. I came to faith in Jesus Christ in the fall of 1996. I grew up in Salt Lake City, in a very active LDS family.

I served a mission, attended the temple regularly, served in various quorum presidencies, and never questioned my testimony until 1990, when I recognized the great burden I was under and the many unanswered questions I had over the years. As a long-haul truck driver in 1995, I listened to Christian radio and heard, again and again, the true gospel message: I am a sinner in need of a Savior and I can place my faith in Him for salvation. God saved me from suicide and brought me into the glorious light of His Son, Jesus Christ. He alone is faithful!
